Our Work

As featured in

We help you solve problems. We talk to your customers. We explore their stories and diagnose their pains. And then we build and ship software that works. We measure its use and craft experiments to make things better. See some examples below.

Field the Bern

iOS, API, Web

We built a canvassing app for the Bernie Sanders campaign that lets volunteers canvass on their own with just their smartphone. We worked to reduce the complexity of canvassing to just a few user interactions. Coderly designed and built everything, from a JSON API backend built in Rails to the iOS app built in Swift. We then helped transition the app to other volunteers and open source the project.

Reissued

API, Web

We first worked with Reissued's iOS team to build out their initial MVP, backed by our Rails API. Reissued was a marketplace that let sellers simply snap a photo of vintage items to list them, apply a filter, and set a price. They could print shipping labels straight from their phones and get delivery notifications on-the-go. When Reissued wanted a mobile-friendly web application, we built them a rich JavaScript application in Ember.js that also gave sellers a new interface for listing and managing their items.

CookAcademy

API, Web

CookAcademy is our own project: a web app that teaches you how to cook, step-by-step. We designed the UX and created all the content found on the site. The website is backed by a Rails JSON API backend. And the website itself is an Ember.js app.

BurnThis

iOS, Web

We helped BurnThis build, test and iterate on their first Minimum Viable Product (MVP). After significant learning, we went on to build their iOS app and an API to back it. We continually leverage in-app data to grow their customer base and revenue as their feature set is expanded and refined.

Smileback

iOS

We worked with WhoWentOut to build this mobile dating app, designing flexible sorting and matching algorithms for their smile game. Because business requirements change, we made sure the sorting algorithms were swappable and the game's rules could be mixed and matched without writing any extra code. We helped them interview and hire a CTO, successfully transitioning the project by providing onboarding and code-review.
